The Youth Leadership Long Beach Class of 2018 will hold their Graduation Ceremony on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the Port of Long Beach [Board Room/Admin Offices], 4801 Airport Drive, starting at 2:30 PM.  The 34 youth in this year's class represents one of the largest and most diverse group of youth from twelve different high schools in the Long Beach area.

The 2018 Youth Leadership Long Beach (YLLB) Class began their program year in October 2017 with an orientation and introduction day at the Ross Aviation offices at the Long Beach Airport and then the following weekend, they headed a leadership retreat in Big Bear.  Over the next 8 months, the group ventured around the community from City Hall to the Boeing Company in Seal Beach to the Port of Long Beach to CSULB. All along the way, the youth learned more about the city, gained leadership skills and principles and have developed friendships that will last a lifetime.

The Graduation Ceremony is the culmination of their principled leadership program year and will celebrate the development and growth of the students.  The youth will participate in the program as speakers themselves as well as receive recognition from the community and elected officials.

Youth participants are free to attend.  Each guest is $10 per person.  There is open seating in the Board Room of the Port of Long Beach Administration Offices.  A light reception will follow the program after 3:30 PM.
